Introduction
It surprises some people that Barcelona offers excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities. Most people think of Barcelona as being hot and sunny with a wonderful beach and many attractions, but not as a destination for skiing and snowboarding holidays. The truth is that only a couple of hours away there are over 20 ski resorts for all levels of ability.

The Pyrenees is a 500km long mountain range which divides Spain from France and encompasses Andorra. The season spans from from November to April nearly every year. The closest resorts are La Molina, La Masella and Port del Comte, which are only 2 hours by car or train from the centre of Barcelona. The major skiing areas of Grand Valira and Vallnord in Andorra are not much further: the former includes the popular resort of Pas de la Casa. For those willing to travel a little further the area of Baqueira-Beret is just over 4 hours away by car from Barcelona and it has arguably the best skiing and snowboarding in Spain, with 4700 acres over six peaks served by 33 lifts.

Why choose Barcelona Bienestar for your skiing and snowboarding holiday?
In general their are several advantages of a skiing holiday in the Pyrenees versus the Alps. The biggest is that the slopes in Andorra and Spain are much less crowded than in the big resorts in Switzerland and France so there is much less queuing. Also prices are a bit cheaper as well. The Pyrenees aren’t as high at the Alps so there can be less natural snow, but all resorts near Barcelona have snow cannons. With Barcelona Bienestar, you have complete flexibility to organise as much or as little of your holiday as you want.

We offer you total flexibility
The main thing we offer you is total flexibility of choice.

We organise dedicated skiing and snowboarding breaks to several resorts anytime between December and March. You have the option to either stay in Barcelona and travel to the resort each day that you ski or board, or you can stay in the resort. As part of your holiday, you can choose to have stretching sessions in the morning and evening everyday, and warm-up and cool-down sessions. This is essential to make sure you get the full enjoyment from your holiday, and it will help you to avoid injury and prolong the amount of time you can spend on the slopes. We also recommend that you add massages to your holiday.

You can also add a day or two of skiing and snowboarding to your sport or fitness holiday in Barcelona. We have many clients who love to spend some time skiing and boarding, and the other time surfing, cycling or just relaxing in the wonderful city of Barcelona.

Lastly, we have dedicated skiing and snowboarding weeks that you can join. This is a great option for single travellers or people who want to meet new people and have fun in a group. These holidays are based in Barcelona and La Molina.

Remember that you can also add our extras and luxury extras to any of the above holidays including your own personal photographer, nights out and massages.
